Free Printable Lanterns to Celebrate Mid-Autumn Festival

I had the chance to present a Mid-Autumn Festival lesson in my son’s class this week, so I went all out! I ordered this Hanfu outfit so I could dress like the Chang’e the Moon Goddess and created these printable lanterns to make with the students. We added washi tape to jazz it up! I also bought a moon cake press, so we colorful air dry clay to make “mooncakes” too!

You can download my free lantern printable from my TpT shop: https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Free-Printable-MidAutumn-Festival-Lantern-Harvest-Moon-Lantern-Digital-Download-10256776

Our family is gluten free, so we made jelly mooncakes for the first time this year! They are so pretty and delicious too!

And in honor of the Moon Festival, my Joy Uke Club friend, Lizzie, and I recorded Teresa Teng’s famous song, The Moon Represents My Heart (月亮代表我的心). I even translated it into English, so you can find the Chinese and English lyrics with ukulele chords here: http://bit.ly/3LWLYgD
